I pre-ordered a combo sandwich corned beef and pastrami. In the morning I got a call informing me they were out of pastrami. Katz out of pastrami?!? Unheard of, Unthinkable..truly we are in last days! But they offered to make a nice corned beef sandwich in lieu of the combo and I accepted it was excellent and so was the cheesecake thank you Kayz!

a friend of mine had this for the first time his quote "I never had pastrami before. I should sue all the restaurants that said they were giving me pastrami"

I am lazy about going there so I enjoy the food about once a year. I was happy to see they got rid of their $75 minimum for delivery so I was happy to order my favorite items. I wasn't disappointed. Delivery was fairly fast, everything arrived hot and was delicious. The Matzo Ball soup was terrific, the Matzo Ball was feather light and tasty but so large there wasn't enough room for enough soup, so I vowed next time to order an extra plain soup container. That way the ratio of matzo ball to soup would be right for me. The soup isn't as good as my mother's was, but it's very good! The Pastrami sandwich is perfect, the frankfurter with sauerkraut also is perfect. Order the sauerkraut on the side so the roll doesn't get soggy. They called because I ordered a bottle of soda they didn't have -- the seamless menu seems to have several kinds of soda they don't carry, but I picked another and the order arrived correct in every respect. I was very happy and will order often.

Great pastrami. Was a $300 order and we are on other side of town so nervous would show up late and items would be missing. Delivery guy showed up at our office door without any help 10 mins early and only 1 knish was missing out of 21 items ordered. Nice job Katz & Seamless.

Ordered a famous Katz Deli Pastrami sandwich for my pops as a surprise. He couldn't have been happier. Forgot how good the fries were also.

A short history of Katzs delitrue delicatessens are real‚and rare‚because they continue a tradition of meat preparation and preservation predating refrigeration. In 1888 a Russian immigrant family established a delicatessen in New York's Lower East side. Long before refrigeration, smoking, pickling and other curing methods of prolonging the useful life of food had been perfected. In the early part of the twentieth century, the Lower East Side was home to teeming millions of newly emigrated families. Lack of public and private transportation forged a solid community. Katz's reputation for recreating the flavors of the Old World created a loyal following for many generations of residents and visitors to New york. As successive waves of newcomers continue to arrive on the Lower East Side, they join in the ranks of many generations of regulars. Katz's is and shall be for many, a link with their heritage, a place to show to their children and grandchildren, and the best delicatessen in the world. If you can't come to Katz's we can come to you. Now you can have Katz's Salamis and other fine products shipped to so you can enjoy our authentic specialties at home.
